We are a family that have lived in Quito, there, our main activity was, the Spanish teaching as a second language, I was a Director of a Spanish School and my wife has been an Academic Director and also, has taught Spanish.
Now, we are five members, two teens (21 and 13 years old) and a girl (10 years old).
This was one of the reasons why we decided to change our way of life and also the place; we decided to live in a small village, quiet, safe y with a little more time for our children, now we are living in small city called Sucúa, in the jungle, a village with about 10.000 inhabitants.
Since we arrived here, have seen the natural and human wealth and the great opportunity in order to Spanish students have a different experience to the big city one.
Our philosophy is to treat both staff and students with respect, and to learn from cultural differences. We encourage an atmosphere of support, openness and understanding. Our course include not only the Spanish language but also South American cultural awareness. We believe that it is important not only to teach you the Spanish language, but also to help you understand and acclimatise to South American life. And of course, we want you to have fun in the process !
We want offer you different options as studying the language in a very quiet place, opportunities to get know and share more about indian people (Shuar community), and the most important is, taking Spanish classes with us that have experience and kind and gentle treatment.
Furthermore, students can combine the language study with other social activities such as teaching children in public schools, working in the farm, social work in shuar communities, etc.
We’d like to welcome you to Ecuador and Sucua, and we hope you have an enjoyable and rewarding stay here, and enjoy studying Spanish.
